Hi I'm Heather

Come stroll the trails with me on our 44 acre Midwest horse farm where I seek God in the ordinary and always find Him--the Extraordinary--wooing, teaching, wowing me with Himself. Thanks for visiting. I hope you will be blessed!

Vision of Glory

 One thing I ask of the LORD,

This is what I seek:

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD

All the days of my life,

To gaze upon the beauty of the LORD

And to seek him in his temple.

For in the day of trouble

He will keep me safe in his dwelling;

He will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle

And set me high upon a rock.

Then my head will be exalted

Above the enemies who surround me;

At his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;

I will sing and make music to the LORD.

 Psalm 27:4-6

LORD!

You show us Your fingerprints of glory in all you have created.

Just your fingerprints!

When we see You face to face, we will see Your full glory (I Corinthians 13:12).

You see all through the windows of our souls—the ones we try to shutter and bolt closed because of fear and shame.  We shudder and hide.  You reach out, hoping we will let You embrace.

Every curve, every color.  Every miniscule detail of the orchid—of you—of me—He planned—and created—with His all-loving hands.

Rose moves through our house all day, following the sun.  If a dog can follow the warmth of the sun, can we do the same with the Son who created the sun?

“I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  John 8:12

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.  Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.  I Corinthians 13:12

Light.  Transparency.  Essentials.

Peeled back petals.  Exposed roots.  If the plants can do so . . . can we?

Rooted in Christ— the Living Water (John 4:10)?

We need to be.

More than ever . . .

We need to be.
