Psalm 8
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

A modern woman’s worship:
O LORD, my Lord! You woo me with your artistry! You soothe me with your wonders! The empty shell—the empty tomb. I will rise again. Because of you, Jesus! You rose—so I can rise.
O LORD, my Lord! How awesome are the works of your mind and your hands. The feathers of the snowy egret—you alone are pure and white and you make us all pure white when we put our trust in you. Your sun shining through green sea grape leaves. You shine through all you have created. I am filled with awe! The Royal Palm foreshadows your royalty, the coming of our King. The wings spread of the Everglade’s bird, torso long, calls to mind your cross—the beautiful cross on which you were laid—on which you died—for me. I thank you. I THANK YOU! Oh Jesus, you have given us such gifts—free for the seeing. Healing for the believing. I thank you. Help me worship you in a way worthy of your delight, now and forever, my Lord—my Savior—my one true Love.
End note:
Since nature always ushers me into a place of worshipping God, I want to share what I’ve captured in photographs during the week that I haven’t included in my blog pieces. On Saturdays, I will be posting a gallery along with Scripture for meditation and worship. I would also like to include the nature photography of others, giving credit and blog links, if applicable. If you are a nature photographer and would like to have your work posted here, please contact me.
