My dad might not describe himself as an artist, but he is. God gave him an exquisite eye for beauty, composition, and the technical mind to create great photographs before the digital age made the art form a bit simpler.
From the time I was small, Dad carried his camera, prepared for whatever wonder might strike him in his journeys. Today, at 82, he continues his quest for capturing beauty with his camera.
I asked Dad to share some of his favorite photographs from years past. Some, like the magnificent shot of the moon, came from his own back yard in Arizona. Others are from faraway places he visited like Hawaii, Thailand, and China.
Dad’s gift has inspired me to carry on in his footsteps, seeking and capturing beauty everywhere I go and sharing shots of God’s glory, revealed in His creation. Today, as you step into a portion of Dad’s gallery, I hope you will be as blessed as I am by his art.
It’s a pleasure to welcome my dad, James Caley MacLaren, to this space today . . .
(May I suggest viewing on your laptop for greatest blessing?)

Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. I Corinthians 10:31
He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:15-17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created. James 1:17-18
